Associate Design
My scope of work for this show was designing & optimizing the sound system, generating all associated paperwork & drawings, console programming, Q-lab programming, supplemental content genearation, communicating with stage management and our mixer during tech, and a few other things. Our system consisted of a Yamaha CL5 mixing console, an assortment of D&B amplifiers, some Yamaha RIO’s, a mix of 30 Meyer/D&B/ & QSC speakers, and 6 area microphones. We used dante networking protocol for IO, and D&B R1 to for system tuning. The sound design was by Amatus Sami-Karim, and original music was by Neel Murgai.
One of the challenges of the this production was the stage/ audience configuration being in the round. The nature of the sound design was very involved with content and underscoring, so having the audience in a 360 degree set up made it so that our time alignment and level relationships between systems had to be just so. Below are some examples of system paperwork as well music from the show by Neel Murgai.
